College access and success activities are designed to increase the number of students and adults who enroll in college (four-year, two-year, and certificate programs) and earn a degree or certificate within four years. Who implements college access / success activities? College access and success activities should be implemented by schools and community organizations interested in college success. Community organizations may include the economic development council, local government, businesses, community foundations, non-profits, youth service organizations, faith-based organizations, service clubs, and others.
Don't have much time? That's ok. Some organizations will be able to implement major initiatives such as large student mentoring programs or scholarship programs. However, to significantly increase the college-going rate in our area, many small activities are needed. Small activities might include
