	Our organization will implement at least one college access activity per year with students and/or parents. What is a college access / success activity?
	Our organization will submit a brief description of our college access activity(ies) via the County College Success Coalition website.
	Our organization understands that we will be invited to three College Success Coalition member meetings each year that will be held in our county. We understand that our presence at these meetings is key to creating and sustaining a culture of college access and success in our community.
	Our organization will encourage other local organizations to also join the College Success Coalition in our county.

Sample Activity

What are college access / success activities? College access and success activities are designed to increase the number of students and adults who enroll in college (four-year, two-year, and certificate programs) and earn a degree or certificate within four years. Activities may fall within one or more of the following areas:

College and career information dissemination
College access mentoring
Academic rigor in the schools
Academic support (tutoring) for college-level courses
Financial support (scholarships)
Advocacy for college access policies at the institutional, state and federal levels

Who implements college access / success activities? College access and success activities should be implemented by schools and community organizations interested in college success. Community organizations may include the economic development council, local government, businesses, community foundations, non-profits, youth service organizations, faith-based organizations, service clubs, and others.

Don't have much time? That's ok. Some organizations will be able to implement major initiatives such as large student mentoring programs or scholarship programs. However, to significantly increase the college-going rate in our area, many small activities are needed. Small activities might include

A retail store placing financial aid flyers in shopping bags
A local manufacturing firm including monthly college access announcements in their employee newsletters
A Boy Scout troop driving through a college campus during a camp outing
A middle school helping students develop a college plan.

Coalition members will be provided with lots of activity ideas during member meetings along with print materials suitable for distribution to students and parents.
