ASAI's founder and early leaders were Indiana school counselors who worked side-by-side with school counselors from across the country. Those counselors unselfishly gave their time and energy to a variety of initiatives designed to 1) improve guidance and counseling services for students, and 2) advocate for sound school counseling programs for all students in the state. These initiatives were sponsored by professional associations including:
In recognition of the time given to these initiatives by Indiana school counselors, the American Student Achievement Institute is pleased to provide free subscriptions to the RSC Online System for all schools across the country at no cost.
The Indiana Department of Education has made it possible for Indiana schools going through the RSC process to benefit from an RSC learning community by participating in a series of monthly webinars. Each month, school counselors going through the RSC process meet to 1) discuss successes and challenges related to the previous month's RSC tasks, 2) walk through RSC tasks that will be occurring in the coming month, and 3) share resources.
The RSC Advisory Team is a group of school counselors, school counseling professors, state agency representatives and professional association representatives who are familiar with the RSC system, have used the RSC system in their school or graduate program, or have worked with schools using the RSC system. Advisory Team members provide input and feedback regarding the design and implementation of the Redesigning School Counseling Process and Online System.
